The Oval

Location
Kennington, London
Client
Bennett Construction

The project at the Oval Cricket Ground involved the soft strip and demolition of the Peter May, Laker and Lock stands.

We had a reduced programme due to the summer Ashes Series, however collaborative working with the groundwork subcontractor meant we were able to reduce the overall programme between the two packages by four weeks.

The reduced level dig and piling mat required a high volume of lorries and with Pinden Ltd being part of the Watch It Come Down Group it enabled us to time and control the flow of lorries.

Scope of Works at The Oval

  • Soft Strip
  • Separation of the Laker and Lock stand prior to demolition
  • Demolition
  • Reduced Level Excavation
  • Piling mat installation
